- New apostle ordained for India
Mülheim. Mülheim, a fairly large city in the heart of the Ruhr area (Germany / North Rhine-Westphalia) was the site of a festive divine service with Chief Apostle Richard Fehr on Sunday, 03.10.2004. The Thanksgiving Day service concluded with an ordination and a silver wedding blessing.
Bishop Vinod Masih (46) will henceforth serve as an apostle in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Approximately 40,000 New Apostolic Christians live in this region, which is about as large as Germany. Rajasthan is financially and administratively supported by the District Church of North Rhine-Westphalia. Counting Vinod Masih and Dewan Chowdhury there are now two apostles working in this large region.
The chief apostle based the divine service on a passage from Hebrews 13: 9: "For it is good that the heart be established by grace." The happy couple, Wilhelm and Elisabeth Hoyer, received the blessing for their silver anniversary by the hand of the chief apostle.
