- Democratic Republic of the Congo: Deep sorrow for Apostle Kadima
Apostle Kalonji Ferdinand Kadima died on 4 April 2022 following a brief illness.
This is the sad news that District Apostle Michael Deppner passed on to Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider, who in turn informed the other Apostles. “We gladly intercede in heartfelt prayer for the bereaved family and for all those mourning his death. May the heavenly Father grant them much comfort, strength, and confidence in these difficult hours of parting,” the Chief Apostle wrote in his death notice. Apostle Kadima is survived by his wife, Mboko Odette, and their five children.
An eventful time in office
Apostle Kadima was born on 5 December 1960. He joined the New Apostolic Church in 1984. Since 1993 he has been active as an Apostle especially in Idiofa, where he supported the development of what is now the Bandundu East region. Meanwhile, this region comprises six Apostle districts and more than 800 congregations. The Chief Apostle writes: “The Apostle was filled with godly zeal.” It was an inner urge for him to go on journeys and bear witness to his faith with a willing heart and a strong commitment to sacrifice. Although he had to struggle with many adversities, he made the work of God a priority.
