- Announcement: Chief Apostle Richard Fehr has suffered a stroke
Zurich. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber has announced that his predecessor in ministry, the retired Chief Apostle Richard Fehr, has suffered a stroke. In the meantime, therapy has already begun in a rehabilitation facility. Chief Apostle Leber asks all members to pray for the sick Chief Apostle.
The original text of Chief Apostle Leber’s announcement is as follows:
Dear brethren in faith,
It is my sad duty to inform you that Chief Apostle Fehr has recently suffered a stroke, which has resulted in partial paralysis. In the meantime, he has begun therapy in a rehabilitation facility and there has been some small initial progress. Thus there is hope for further improvement, although therapy will need to continue for some time yet.
Chief Apostle Fehr is grateful for all intercessions. However he requests that members refrain from visiting and from making inquiries with his wife or other family members.
Further information will be provided in due course.
With warm greetings,
W. Leber
