Christ in the centre

At the heart of Christendom: The New Apostolic Church professes the Bible and the interdenominational foundations of Christianity as the basis of its doctrine. It is led by Apostles and acknowledges three sacraments. At the core of church life are its regular divine services. These serve for the believer’s personal development in preparation for the return of Christ.

Unity in diversity

As a global community, the New Apostolic Church numbers over nine million members in some 200 countries around the world. It is comprised of legally independent District Churches, all under the common umbrella of a uniform doctrine and collective leadership bodies. The operation of Church institutions and humanitarian aid activities is financed by the voluntary donations of its members.

Our faith

We believe in the one God, the Almighty, who created the world; we cherish His gift. Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, who will return and take His bridal congregation to be with Him. The Holy Spirit is both comforter and helper on our journey through time. How do we know all of this? The Bible, our experiences of faith, and our Apostles teach us this.

Our love

Love is a lifelong task. Christians love God above everything and their neighbour as themselves. This curbs egoism and sets clear boundaries. Christian love calls upon us to act in a compassionate, hospitable, and forgiving way. Jesus is so serious about this that He goes as far to demand that we love the enemy. Difficult to implement? Indeed, but possible in view of the One who exemplified it!

Our hope

The return of Christ is near. This is a core message of the Christian faith that gives us strength and courage. The expectation that the Lord’s promises will be fulfilled, together with the hope of personally experiencing Christ’s return and being caught up to Him, are at the core of the New Apostolic faith also today. When this will be we don’t know. We know neither the day nor the hour, however, we believe that it will happen soon!

Our gratitude

We thank God for His love and generosity. It makes us both humble and joyful, which is why we care for our neighbour: people help people who are destitute. If we welcome each other, God will have a firm place in our hearts. Let us praise God in a language that is understood all over the world: music. And the best way to do that is together!
