- Update regarding growing fears in Kenya
New York. Fears of violence in Kenya after the country’s disputed presidential elections have still not come to an end. Hundreds of thousands of people have in the meantime lost their homes, among them many New Apostolic Christians. These Church members, and with them large segments of the general population, have found shelter in our churches. Others seek refuge in police stations, football stadiums, and other official installations. A number of our Church members there have been seriously injured or have lost all their possessions. A few individuals have even been killed.
District Apostle Helper Shadreck Lubasi and the New Apostolic brethren in Kenya ask us to pray for all those who have been affected by the situation. As District Apostle Richard Freund from the USA announced last Sunday after a divine service, the New Apostolic Church USA has already set up an aid campaign for Kenya in order to help those in need of food, clothing, and security in our churches.
