- More ordinations planned for Northern India
Zurich/Dortmund. During his trip to India, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will conduct a divine service for ministers in Hyderabad on Friday, 1 February 2008. In the course of that service he will ordain two Apostles and two Bishops for the provinces in North East India and Rajasthan that are in the care of the District Church of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Bishop Mukith Parvez Chowdhury (39) will be ordained an Apostle and will in future care for the provinces of Assam, Tripura, and Meghalaya. For the Northern part of Rajasthan Bishop Desmond Heppolette shall be ordained an Apostle. The current District Evangelist Terence Peter Walker (50) will work at his side as a Bishop. In Southern Rajasthan, District Elder Lazrus Patel (53) will receive the Bishop ministry in order to support the local Apostle Vinod Masih.
On Sunday, 3 February 2008 the leader of the New Apostolic Church of North Rhine-Westphalia, Apostle Armin Brinkmann, will present the newly ordained ministers to the members in a divine service in Jaipur, thereby introducing them to their new areas.
