Zurich. A second information evening with Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will be transmitted by satellite on Tuesday, 4 December 2007. All ministers of the Church and all interested members throughout Europe are invited to take part in this event. The source of the transmission will be the conference centre of the New Apostolic Church International in Zurich. The transmission will start at 8:00 PM local time.
The first so-called information evening with Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber took place in January 2006 in the congregation of Uster, Switzerland (we reported). On that occasion, statements about our understanding of salvation and Holy Baptism were transmitted via satellite into all New Apostolic congregations in Europe. Recorded cassettes were sent to congregations outside of Europe.
The international Church president has already indicated in a number of interviews that such an information evening would also take place this year. This time the transmission will centre on questions of Church history, in addition to other selected topics. Chief Apostle Leber will conduct the information evening in German, and translations will be dubbed in as a service of the Church’s own publishing house, namely the Bischoff-Verlag in Frankfurt.
Transmission of a test picture and tone will begin at 7:00 PM local time. The actual start of the information evening is scheduled for 8:00 PM. There will be no other program shown beforehand.
