- Remembrance Day Benefit Concert
Scarborough/Ontario. Close to 100 musicians and choir members from the New Apostolic Church presented on Saturday, November 11, 2006, a Remembrance Day benefit concert for "Variety - The Children's Charity". They presented, in the beautiful auditorium of the Birchmount Park Collegiate, various choral and classical pieces from F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, A. Dvorak, and many more, to the enjoyment of about 600 people.
Choir and orchestra were rewarded with a well deserved standing ovation at the end of a well received concert. The local MPP, Mr. Lorenzo Berardinetti, made a very interesting speech about the respect due to veterans and what can be learned from their experiences.
