- Aleqa Hammond is the new Minister for Family and Justice in Greenland
Nuuk. Aleqa Hammond, a sister in faith from the congregation of Nuuk, has been appointed the new Family and Justice Minister of her homeland of Greenland. District Apostle Karlheinz Schumacher, who is responsible for the activities of the New Apostolic Church in Greenland, expressed his heartfelt best wishes to her.
In his letter, District Apostle Schumacher conveyed his congratulations to Sister Aleqa and wished her the strength to fulfil the duties of her new government post to the benefit of the people of Greenland.
Sister Aleqa Hammond belongs to the New Apostolic congregation in the capital city of Nuuk. Greenland is served by the District Church of Northern Germany. Other missions in Greenland include Illulissat and Uummannaq, the latter of which is the northernmost New Apostolic congregation in the world.
