- Vatican responds to letter of condolence
Zurich. There was mail from the Vatican for the chief apostle: Secretary of State Monsignor Caccia expressed thanks for the chief apostle's letter of condolence in response to the death of Pope John Paul II.
The letter states: "The Lord over life and death has called his loyal servant, Pope John Paul II, into His heavenly kingdom. Countless Christians and people of good will around the world mourn for him along with the Catholic Church." The letter ends with thanks for the affection and solidarity shown by the chief apostle.
Shortly after Pope John Paul II died, Chief Apostle Richard Fehr had sent a letter of condolence to the College of Cardinals on behalf of all New Apostolic Christians around the world, visit:
