- Coordination Group reconstituted
A generational shift has taken place in the Coordination Group of the New Apostolic Church International (NACI). Four members were bid farewell and four new members were welcomed.
The president of the New Apostolic Church International, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider, thanked the outgoing District Apostles Jürg Zbinden (Switzerland), Rainer Storck (Western Germany) and Rüdiger Krause (Northern and Eastern Germany) as well as the retired District Apostle John L. Kriel (Southern Africa) for their long-standing commitment to the Church. He welcomed the District Apostle Helpers Thomas Deubel (Switzerland), Stefan Pöschel (Western Germany), and Helge Mutschler (Northern and Eastern Germany), as well as District Apostle Peter Lambert (Southern Africa). Members serve on a rotating basis.
The Coordination Group is the interface between the Working and Project Groups of the Church and the District Apostle Meeting as the highest decision-making body of NACI. The Coordination Group prepares the globally relevant resolutions on spiritual subjects.
The Delegate Meeting, another NACI body, is primarily responsible for organisational and financial matters. Operational activities in this area are the responsibility of the Board of Directors, which emerged from the former Finance Committee. In addition to the Chief Apostle, the board also includes the District Apostles Mark Woll (Canada), Michael Ehrich (Southern Germany) and Joseph Opemba Ekhuya (East Africa), as well as Apostle Robert Worship (Southern Africa), who were elected by secret ballot.
