- Western Germany under new leadership
The New Apostolic Church in Western Germany has a new leader. Last Sunday, the president of the New Apostolic Church International retired the previous District Apostle and appointed his successor.
“Accept the sincere gratitude from this large congregation.” With these words, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider said goodbye to the president of the New Apostolic Church Western Germany, Rainer Storck. During the divine service in Rheinberg in Germany, the Chief Apostle mentioned the big heart and the energy, devotion, competence, confidence, faith, love, and trust in God with which the outgoing District Apostle had led the large working area for ten years.
The Chief Apostle appointed District Apostle Helper Stefan Pöschel (56) as successor. “You are responsible for ensuring that the members in all the countries in which you work are well cared for,” he said. “Make sure that they all receive what they need for their salvation.” As District Apostle, he is now responsible for the members in more than forty countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.
