- A new Apostle for Papua New Guinea
Kenneth Korokai now serves as an Apostle for the members of the New Apostolic Church in Papua New Guinea. Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider ordained the 51-year-old in a divine service on Sunday, 9 June 2024 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Kenneth Korokai, who had been serving as a District Elder, was born in 1973. In addition to Kerewo, his mother tongue, he speaks Motu, Pidgin, and English. He and his wife, Kabiro, have seven children. He works as a liaison officer for a large oil company. As an Apostle, he will work on an honorary basis.
Apostle Kenneth Korokai succeeds Apostle Allan Papi Pouru, who retired in the same divine service. Apostle Pouru served 44 years in various ministries, 36 of these as an Apostle.
