Apostle Hans-Jürgen Bauer has retired after having reached the age limit for active ministry. To succeed him in the Southern German Apostle district of Ulm, the previous Bishop Volker Keck was ordained an Apostle on 28 July 2024 in Memmingen.
Volker Keck was born in 1974. He is married and has two children. In 1992 he was called to the Sub-deacon ministry and has served as a minister in the New Apostolic Church ever since. When he was assigned a Bishop in 2023, he entered into the full-time service of the New Apostolic Church. He speaks German and English.
Apostle Hans-Jürgen Bauer as born in 1957. He has served as a minister since 1984, and has been active as an Apostle since 2007. In addition to the Apostle district of Ulm, he also served eight other countries on the African continent. He was also involved in various working groups in Southern Germany and in the New Apostolic Church International. For example, he served as chairman of the music working group for a long time.
