- Ordinations for Tanzania and Uganda
In a divine service he conducted in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania on 18 August 2024, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider ordained four new Apostles for Tanzania and one Apostle for Uganda.
The name of the new Apostle for Uganda is George William Odwori. He has been a Bishop since 2023 and is a teacher by profession. Since 1994 he has served as a minister of the New Apostolic Church. The Apostle, who was born in 1970, is married and has nine children. In addition to his mother tongue of Lusamia he also speaks English.
Nico Esili Mahenge assumed his first ministry as a Deacon in 1998, and has served as a Bishop since 2024. He earned his living as a farmer and entrepreneur. He was born in 1979 and speaks Mkinga and English. He has three children with his wife.
Apostle John Yonathan Mwedugo most recently served as district rector. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1994. He was born in 1972 and worked in the area of agriculture. He and his wife have five children. He speaks Swahili and English.
Apostle Cosmas John Maguhwa also served most recently as a district rector. He has been in ministry since 1992 and was born in 1975. He is married and has ten children. He earned his living in agriculture. He speaks Kiswahili and English.
Adson Ngalinda Stewart, who previously served as a district rector, was born in 1985. He is married and has three children. He worked professionally as a farmer and tailor. In 2014 he was ordained as a Deacon and has served in various levels of ministry since then. In addition to his native language, Kiswahili, he also speaks Swahili.
