- New president for the Church in Switzerland
Thomas Deubel is the new District Apostle for the District Apostle Area of Switzerland. In a divine service on Sunday, 22 September 2024 in Berne-Ostermundigen in Switzerland, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider appointed the District Apostle Helper as District Apostle and retired District Apostle Jürg Zbinden.
District Apostle Thomas Deubel
Thomas Deubel was assigned as a District Apostle Helper for the working area a year ago. Over the course of the last year, the former banker was able to get to know the brothers and sisters in the countries he will be looking after: Austria, Bulgaria, Cuba, Czech Republic, Gibraltar, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. He is 60 years old and has been a minister since 1984. He was ordained an Apostle in 2014.
District Apostle Jürg Zbinden
Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider wished Jürg Zbinden the best for his well-deserved retirement after 48 years of ministry. Jürg Zbinden served as an Apostle for twelve years and as District Apostle for the New Apostolic Church Switzerland for a good six years. He will continue to serve as chairman of the board of trustees of NAK-Humanitas.
