- Succession plan for Northern and Eastern Germany
On 17 August 2025, the New Apostolic Church of Northern and Eastern Germany will receive a new District Apostle Helper. Apostle David Heynes will be assigned to this function by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider in Hannover-List.
The hitherto District Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler was assigned to the task of Chief Apostle Helper on Pentecost. The resulting gap in the leadership team of the District Apostle area of Rüdiger Krause can thus be quickly closed. Apostle Heynes is married and lives in the Greater London area with his family.
Heynes has served as an Apostle since 2018 and was previously responsible for the pastoral care of six countries. With this new assignment, this radius will be expanded to include the remaining eight countries in the District Apostle area. In addition to becoming acquainted with the congregations and ministers of the region, he will be introduced to the daily business of a District Apostle. He will also participate in the next international District Apostle Meeting this fall.
