- A change in leadership signalled for December
The New Apostolic Church Northern and Eastern Germany has a new District Apostle Helper. David Heynes will familiarise himself with the role of District Apostle at short notice and then take over from the acting Church leader.
In a divine service last Sunday in Hanover-List (Germany), Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider assigned the Apostle. District Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler, who was previously entrusted with the function, was appointed Chief Apostle Helper on Pentecost. A new successor had to be called for District Apostle Rüdiger Krause, who is due to retire in mid December 2025.
“I know this is now a very short time to become familiar with the working area,” the Chief Apostle admitted. “But don’t worry.” Because “God has prepared the way. And He will be with you.” Besides, “You have a great group of people who will help you.”
Heynes, who was born in the United Kingdom and has been an Apostle since 2018, looks after Scandinavia and the British Isles, as well as Northern and Eastern Germany, Poland, Russia, and several countries in Central Asia.
