- New Apostles in the DR Congo
In Kinshasa, the newly commissioned District Apostle Élie Tatien Mukinda received seven new Apostles on 20 July 2025 to assist him.
The Bagata Apostle Area received a new leader in Emmanuel Mwanama Bobi (1970). The secondary school principal is married and has seven children. He joined the New Apostolic Church at the age of 22. On the day he was sealed, he was also ordained a Priest. Since August 2011 he had been serving as a District Elder. In addition to Kikongo, he also speaks French.
New leaders in the western and central regions
Apostle Dady Ivula Elalungu (1980) is now responsible for the newly established Apostle Area of Kikwit-East. The secondary school inspector is married and has five children. He became New Apostolic at the age of eleven and received his first ministry as a Deacon in 2010. District Apostle Michael Deppner appointed him district rector in April 2014. He speaks Mbun and French.
Apostle Olivier Ngeleka Mbuyi (1977) will take over District Apostle Mukinda’s working area. The technical director and lawyer joined the New Apostolic Church at the age of 17. At the age of 21, he was made a Sub-deacon. Most recently, he served as a district rector. He is married, has three children, and speaks French as well as Lingala.
New structures and responsibilities in the south
Apostle Kiboko Paleki Munene (1975) is now responsible for the 195 congregations in the newly established Apostle Area of Panu-Mateko. The police captain has been a member of the New Apostolic Church since 2002 and received his first ministry in 2005. Most recently, he served as an Evangelist. He and his wife have six children. The Apostle speaks Kikongo, Kibindi, and French.
Nadin Buezibanda Munongo (1972) is the new Apostle for the Popokabaka area. He joined the New Apostolic Church in 1996 and received the ministry of Priest on the day he was sealed. This was in 1998. Since then, he worked at various ministerial levels. Most recently, District Apostle Deppner assigned him as district rector. Apostle Munongo is a rural development inspector. He is married, and the couple have five children. He speaks Kiyaka and French.
Changes in the capital and in Congo-Central
Kinshasa-East received a new leader in Apostle Labora Shiko Munsimbele (1982). Apostle Giresse Manzala, who was previously responsible for the district, took over the Kinshasa-North Apostle Area following the retirement of Apostle Wamba. Apostle Munsimbele has been New Apostolic since the age of twelve. He received his first ministry in 2001, which was followed by further ministerial levels. Most recently, he served as district rector. He is a medical doctor, is married, and has three children. He speaks Lingala, French, and English.
Yves Diabisala Makumba (1982) is the new Apostle for the Yongo-Congo Central area. He was baptised shortly after his birth and was sealed at the age of four. The Apostle works as an environmental officer, is married, and has four children. He speaks Lingala, French, and Kikongo.
