- New Apostles in three African countries
New responsibilities, new paths: Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider ordained a total of seven new Apostles for Kenya, Zambia, and Malawi.
The congregations in Mozambique have received four new Apostles. Shepherd Collince Otieno Nyabute (born 1979), previously serving as a congregational rector, was ordained as an Apostle on 11 January 2026. He succeeds Apostle John Ngaga Dianga (born 1959), who has retired. Collince Nyabute was baptised and sealed in 1980 and received his first ministry in 2002. He is married, has six children, and works as a driver. In addition to his mother tongue, Luo, he also speaks English.
Changes in Zambia and Malawi
Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider performed six ordinations in Lusaka in Zambia on 8 February 2026.
Apostle Samson Golah Mwanza (born 1974) has taken over the Mzimba District in Malawi from Apostle Owen Kaira, who went into retirement. Apostle Mwanza was baptised and sealed in 1974 and received his first ministry as a Sub-deacon in 2005. He is married with two children, works in farming, and speaks Chitumbuka and English.
Martin Mutondo (born 1971) is the new Apostle for the Lusaka West-Mumbwa District in Zambia. He was baptised and sealed in 1971. In 1998 he was ordained as a Sub-deacon. Apostle Mutondo is married, has four children, and works as a management consultant and chartered accountant. He speaks Luvale and English.
The Kabwe Apostle District in Zambia has also received a new Apostle: Joseph Kampamba Kenya (born 1985). He was ordained to replace Lead Apostle Ranford Simumbwe, who has been assigned to look after the Monze-Mazubuka Apostle District. Apostle Kenya was baptised and sealed in 1985. He was ordained as a Priest in 2008, his first ministry. He is married, has four children, and works as an auditor and accountant. He speaks both Bemba and English.
New Apostle districts and responsibilities
The Chief Apostle also ordained three additional Apostles for the new Apostle districts in Malawi and Zambia. Apostle Kondwani Chisi (born 1980) was ordained for the Mangochi Apostle District in Malawi. He was baptised in 1980 and sealed six years later. He was ordained as a Priest in 2019; it was his first ministry. The Apostle is married, has four children, and works as an administrator. He speaks Chitumbuka and English.
Apostle Wisdom Shanengeta (born 1972) was ordained for the newly created Lusaka-North Chisamba Apostle District in Zambia. He was baptised and sealed in 1972. He was ordained as a Priest in 1999, which was his first ministry. He is married, has one child, and works in the banking sector. He speaks Chitonga and English.
For the second newly created Apostle District of Chingola-Mufulira in Zambia, the Chief Apostle ordained Steven Sikobela (born 1974) as an Apostle. He was baptised in 1974 and sealed in 1989. He was ordained as a Deacon in 2002, his first ministry. Apostle Sikobela is married, has three children, and works as an accountant. He speaks Lozi and English.
