As one of the main bodies of NACI (the New Apostolic Church International) the Delegates’ Meeting manages the organisational and financial interests of the Global Church. Operational activities in this area are the responsibility of the Board of Directors. Its members include the Chief Apostle and four representatives who are re-elected every four years by secret ballot. The last vote took place on 2 June 2022 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

At the most recent meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, a vote was held to choose the new members of the Financial Services Group on 22 May 2026. This was catalysed in part by the expiration of the term of office and the change of Chief Apostle. The new members of the board are Chief Apostle Helge Mutschler, District Apostle Joseph Opemba Ekhuya (Eastern Africa), District Apostle Arnaud Martig (Canada), District Apostle Helper Martin Rheinberger (Southern Germany), and Apostle Robert Worship (Southern Africa).

Over the next four years, the board will take on the tasks of defining NACI’s financial and investment strategy, and approving the annual budget. Beyond that, it will develop guidelines and recommendations for leadership structures for NACI and the Regional Churches.

Change in the chairmanship of the Coordination Group

There were also some personnel changes in NACI’s Coordination Group (CG). The new chairman of this body is Chief Apostle Helge Mutschler, who was ordained on Pentecost 2026 and who had already served as a member of the CG previously. A new member of the group is District Apostle John Schnabel (USA). District Apostles Thomas Deubel (Switzerland), Stefan Pöschel (Western Germany), and Peter Lambert (Southern Africa) remain active as members. This means that, in addition to the Chief Apostle, the group now includes members from four continents—a visible sign of the Church’s international character.

The Coordination Group serves as the interface between the Church’s work groups and project groups and the District Apostle Meeting, which is the highest decision-making body of the New Apostolic Church International. It prepares resolutions on spiritual topics that are of global relevance. Among other things, the Coordination Group is presently occupied with the following matters: updating the Catechism, creating proposals for new teaching material, and making preparations for the next District Apostle Meeting.
