More humility, fewer conflicts? Jesus Christ exemplified this through His attitude: counting others as more important than Himself. Here is something to reflect on.

In one of our hymns we plead for greater loving humility. This is important, especially in times like these. If people showed more humility, many of the problems we face today would not exist.

Jesus Christ said, “I am gentle and lowly in heart.” What if people were to follow the example of Jesus Christ, look up to others, and ask themselves, “How can I help you, my neighbour, to become even greater.”

Many problems in this world would not exist if people—if we, if I—showed more humility and love. I invite all of us to take this hymn as an opportunity, as a source of inspiration, and to pause for moment and ask ourselves this very question, “What can I do to ensure that my colleague, my classmate, or my neighbour can grow and be supported in their dignity and sense of worth?”
