- Taking leave of the Coordination Group
Zurich. On 27 November 2001 Urs Hebeisen, a District Apostle Helper from the District Church of Canada who resides in the Philippines, became a member of the New Apostolic Church’s Coordination Group. Some 36 sessions and more than 100 meeting days now lie behind him. On Wednesday, 19 December 2007 he was discharged from the advisory panel. District Apostle Helper John Sobottka, also from Canada, will follow in his footsteps.
“It has indeed already been six years since Chief Apostle Fehr welcomed you into the Coordination Group,” said Chief Apostle Leber as the group bid farewell to the District Apostle Helper. “With his insights from the various fields of work and his wealth of experience, he understood himself as a representative and spokesman for the regions outside of Europe,” said the Chief Apostle.
District Apostle Wilfried Klingler, the chairman of the Church’s internal Coordination Group, presented the District Apostle Helper with a case of fountain pens and ballpoint pens as a small parting gift.
Chief Apostle Leber then went on to welcome District Apostle Helper John Sobottka into the CG as its newest member. He wished him much joy and blessing as well as wisdom and strength.
